The Hart Area Recreation Club Board of Directors would like to address an unfortunate event that occurred in early July.

The specific event is related to an unauthorized comment that was made on Facebook by an organization volunteer. The comment was made by one individual, inappropriately posted under the Hart Rec account. The comment was interpreted as discriminatory and does not represent Hart Rec policy or the general sentiment of any Hart Rec volunteers or staff.

Hart Rec takes great pride in being an equal opportunity entity. Our goal is to offer youth of the Hart area a safe, fun environment to learn and develop athletic skills while promoting good sportsmanship, respect, and strong work ethic. Hart Rec seeks to offer these opportunities to all children without discrimination.

Although this action was not made by a representative of Hart Rec, the board of directors would like to apologize to anyone who may have been offended or otherwise disrespected by the Facebook post. The board is working to ensure this does not happen in the future.
